Five people spend the night in an abandoned haunted house in Amityville Long Island, and soon find themselves terrorized by assorted ghosts, venomous insects and ghostly apparitions.
Marvin and Debbie buy the house. They renovate with the help of three friends: Frank, Bill and Abigail. The former housekeeper, Mrs. Moriarty, is murdered. A priest had been murdered at the house twelve years earlier when the house was a rectory. At the end, Frank is possessed by the curse, causing him to murder Mrs. Moriarty (by pushing her from the top of a flight of stairs), Marvin and Bill. He tried to kill Debbie but he failed, and eventually, with the help of Abigail, Debbie kills Frank, and the two women are saved.
This is another part, in the Amityville collection, that was not worth the time to view it. The movie went from average to terrible. It started off about the house and then ended up as a murder mystery of the priest from the beginning. To top that off, the house wasn’t even the original house, nor the one from part 4. It felt like I was watching a movie that was trying to use the title to make money from it.
In my opinion, I thought this part was probably worse than any other part, in the series. This is another part of the series you should avoid.
