A social worker (Renee Zellweger) fights to save a girl from her abusive parents, only to discover that the situation is more dangerous than she ever expected.
I thought this movie was pretty decent. I just didn’t like how they never explained anything about the girl, like they didn’t go into details on everything. For the people who watched it already, you know what I mean. Another thing I didn’t like was half way through the movie, you can tell what’s really happening and know what’s true. I think they should have left out the crosses, bible, and locks on the door because that’s what gave it away. If they removed those and had everyone wondering until the end, it would have been a lot better.
One thing I didn’t like about this movie was how the girl played her part. She was a decent actress but didn’t do too great at it, either. If she put more emotion into her part, it might have turned out better.
I would recommend watching this movie, at least once. It does have a few jump scenes, but not a lot of them. As one of my friends said, it’s a mixture of The Ring mixed with Exorcist.
