Movie Summary

Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved.

Now, Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Movie Review

When I first saw the trailer to this movie advertised on TV, I wasn’t sure if it would be worth watching or not. I know Leonardo DiCaprio usually does good movies, but you know some actors and actresses usually start going downhill somewhere along the line, and some make a flop, every now and then. So, as you can tell, I actually decided to give it a watch, because everything else seems to be boring or not interesting enough for me to watch.

When the movie first starts off, it was very confusing as to you are left with a “WTF?” type reaction about what’s going on. After the first 20-30 minutes or so, you start catching on and understanding the storyline. All I can say, with the storyline, is to pay very close attention to everything. The smallest scene you miss can throw you off, if you’re not careful. Yeah, it’s one of those movies that are very deep. When it comes to dreams, I guess it can be, because you can only go so far into detail, within 2.5 hours. The storyline and movie seemed more like an action / sci-fi type, than anything else.

I was actually surprised that I enjoyed this movie, as much as I did. Though, I did have one minor complaint, which was the ending. You’re left with wondering if what happened was real or just a dream. I guess that’s how they wanted it to end, but I really would have liked to know. I would say what I thought about the ending, but it would give it away. Sorry!

As for the acting, I thought everyone did a great job, with their roles. I didn’t notice anyone who didn’t play their role correctly. Tom Berenger had a very small role, but is seen through out the movie. Ellen Page played her part well, also. Tom Hardy’s character reminded me of Zartan, from the G.I. Joe series lol. I guess from him changing his appearance. Of course, Leonardo DiCaprio played his role well, too. I haven’t really seen any movie that he didn’t play his part too well in.

If you haven’t seen this movie, I would suggest it to anyone who likes to watch action films, and those who enjoy anything dealing with fantasy, science fiction, or dream type movies. It was a very entertaining movie, and I will probably end up watching this movie again, just to see if there were parts I missed.
