In the not too distant future a secret government re-animation chemo-virus gets released into conservative Sartre, Nebraska and lands in an underground strip club. As the virus begins to spread, turning the strippers into “Super Zombie Strippers”. The girls struggle with whether or not to conform to the new “fad”, even if it means there’s no turning back.
I thought Zombie Strippers was an average zombie movie. The only reason why I say it was average is because the only good things this movie really has are decent music, Jenna Jameson, and Robert Englund. Other than that, this movie completely sucked, in my opinion. I guess I could say the storyline was different and creative. So, it’s a little bit different, than most of the other zombie movies you see.
As for acting, the actors went from terrible to decent to terrible. I thought the only good acting, in this movie, was in Robert Englund, mostly. Jenna Jameson did an okay job, on her role. She could have been a lot worse, like most of the other cast members. The most annoying character was Jessy, played by Jennifer Holland, in my opinion. I didn’t like how she wanted to become a stripper, while being very religious, and making excuses of stripping is the only alternative to help her family member.
As for the storyline, I thought it was more like “Return of the Living Dead”. There was a lot of humor and probably more than what was needed. Most of the effects looked as fake as they could get. Even the gun shot effects sucked. At the beginning of the movie, the zombies looked more human, by their skin tone. Also, they seem to move and talk like normal humans, which took away the zombie feeling. One good thing was they didn’t move too fast, like the infected. So, that’s probably a plus.
If you haven’t seen this movie, it’s one of those movies that you’ll only watch one time, or maybe two times, if that. If you enjoy comedy versions of zombie movies, then you’ll probably enjoy this movie. Just don’t expect it to be great, nor scary.
I couldn’t decide if I should put this movie under the comedy section or under horror. So, I filed it under horror, for those who are searching for zombie movies.
